Welcome
Hello World, I am The Kaiz. Why such a weird name, you ask? Well, that’s just rude… Anyway, that’s my name so that’s what you call me. You know, that or His Kaizness, Kaizer, or El Kaizerino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
I also will accept Lord Kaizer. It’s commanding and exotic with a lure of immortality there.
Movies
As far back as I can remember, I have always been a sucker for movies. I grew up with Batman, Ninja Turtles, Godzilla, and Star Wars. I could list more (Indiana Jones, Never-Ending Story, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, and on and on) but I don’t want to take all this time on just the first go.
Naturally, being an avid movie fan, the thought of being a movie critic/reviewer becomes too alluring. I talk about movies, theories, IMDB facts, and connected universes all the time so why not?
Hence, The Kaiz Blogs.
Pre-2025
You might notice that several reviews predate the launch date (June 2025). These are reviews that I wrote but never got published. Once I decided to start my own reviews, I was still writing a few while building this site. Plus, they make a decent foundation for the site now that it’s finally active. Building blocks.
What’s Playing and What’s Streaming
While my main focus for the site isn’t on movies just coming out, they are a must for reviewers. So obviously, give the people what they want.
Pretty straightforward, these are movies out in theaters and/or streaming online.
To my best abilities, these are spoiler-free. However, one idea I want to try is an adjacent review with all the spoilers Because, sometimes, it’s difficult to write around spoilers. You also have spoilers that are the most excitable part to talk about.
X-Mas Bombs
X-Mas Bombs – my name for bad Christmas movies. A few years ago, I started a tradition of watching the worst of Christmas films out there. And before you say it – no, not Jingle All the Way. There are worse things out there. Jingle at least had some bizarre charm to it and is still watchable. No, no, we’re looking at even lower than the bottom of the barrel here. Prepare yourselves; these X-Mas Bombs are not for the faint of heart or for people with Christmas cheer.
Midnite Reels
I’m a big horror fan. It doesn’t matter how cheesy it is, there is something great with deformed monsters and demons chasing hapless teenagers and clueless scientists. And who doesn’t love gratuitous nudity and gore fests?
So soon I’ll have a section I’m calling Midnite Reels just for horror reviews. Classics like Freddy and Jason movies, obscured ones lost in the 70s and 80s, aliens, zombies, zombie aliens, zombie strippers, vampires, werewolves, and maybe some zombies.
Like I said, I really like horror, and there is a lot of horror out there.
